A True Classic !!
Mark Wagstaff (Secretary of EDMC) is joining an ex-work collegue to take part in the forthcoming East Anglian Classic Historic Road Rally.  This event starts and finishes at the Holiday Inn, Norwich. What is so different about this event for Mark, is that he is navigatingn in Steve's ex-Works Ford Roger Clark/Jim Porter Tour of Britain 1974 RS2000.

Steve has spent many years in restoring this fantastic car, its currenmt state of truly fantastic condition!  

We shall see how the actual rally goes, with Steve starting to feel the nerves of his first event motorsport event - but the idea is to get the car around in one peice/unmarked and get Steve's grin totally fixed for many months!  And Mark knows that this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime chance!  Indeed, Mark has already had one ambition completed in that Steve allowed him to drive the car at a recent trackday at Elvington; giving Steve the chance to see what the car will do and how it handles.

 New Club Venue a great success!!
Eastwood & DMC has know for some time that we will be losing the use of the British Legion at West Bridgford and have been looking for a replacement. Last Tuesday saw us move to the new venue at The Ferry Inn, Main Road, Old Wilford.  And very nice the pub is too.  Excellent food and Real Ales aplenty, with a large car park in a quiet/safe area - should be very good for us.

We ran a small, fun motorsport quiz that went down very well with everyone and the (very close) winners were Rick, Neil & Ade Drury with 32 points - well done guys!  

See you all at The Ferry Inn next month  - we are running a DVD night of the Jane Cowling Phoenix Stages Rally aka "Crash 8" !!
