START & FINISH: A Pub in Asfordby, Leics (near Melton Mowbray) called the Crown Inn on the Main Street
(OS Map 129/7095_1905) Signing On and Points to Plot hand-out, runs from 19:00hrs to 19:45hrs
ONLY.
So do not be late and get to the start as early as possible!

FORMAT:  EASY!  THIS IS A SCATTER – NOT A 12 CAR RALLY.
Once signed on, crews will get everything they will need for the event. They will get a "start time" as they complete Signing On - and then will get 2 hours to do plotting plus getting the clues and get back to the Pub for a finish time. You choose which route to take.

Each reference point will be a simple map reference.
Each reference will have a question against it and a point’s value – either 5, 10 or 20 points.
Remember to number the plot on your maps so that you know which question relates to which reference.

The idea is to visit as many points as possible, note the answers to the questions and – most importantly – get back to the Finish venue within your allowed time.  This will be recorded on your Time / Answer Card. For every one minute late, you will be deducted 1 point.  So 5 minutes late back and you have wasted a 5 point clues!  And if more than 5 minutes late back - EXCLUDED !!

SO GET BACK ON TIME !!

There will be a free buffet at the Finish for all.

CARS ALLOWED: Standard road cars only please.  The RLO has requested this and there is absolutely no need for any competition cars anyway!  ALSO – No Auxiliary Spot Lamps Please.  Again, to keep the RLO happy and to help avoid any public nuisance.  You simply will not need them!

WHAT YOU DO NEED:  OS maps 129 only needed latest editions, a torch (as you will need to get out of the car to find some answers!), a clipboard and pen(s) and a decent watch (to keep an eye on the time!)

BLACKSPOTS:  You will be given some blackspots references – these are places that you MUST keep away from. Anyone reported in these areas will be excluded.  And no clues within 30 mph areas.

MARSHALLING:  Not needed, thank you!  So come along and take part instead.

AWARDS: There will still be the "All-EDMC-Crew"  award for those who were fully paid members at 1st November 2007.  These crews will be applicable for the marvellous March Hare/Peter Brayne Trophy. Plus 1st Overall replicas.

CONTACT:  Mark Wagstaff on 07771840200 email secretary@eastwoodmotorclub.co.uk for further details.  Also on the club website – www.eastwoodmotorclub.co.uk

ENTRIES:  Out at the March Natter Night (I will also give a quick guide to what is happening) and on the Club website - first come, first served – I am looking for a maximum of 12 cars please. The EDMC Committee has agreed that they will cover the Entry Fee (so it’s free!) but you need to confirm insurance details.
